Alright, it's been a while since I've written a critique. So, here we go! The overall impact of this drawing, to me, is perfect. I love the fact that you left it up to the audience's imagination to determine what's going on. Spelling Bee? Speech? Lecture? Whatever you want. The shading is very realistic and unique. The only thing that could maybe be a little more..detailed? Would be the audience but I can see why you would get a little lazy on that. It's not the main focus of the image. But, back to the good things. I tend to go extreme with imagination. A lot. With this, I can hear the quiet yet distinct noise of the audience excitedly whispering about what they think's going to happen. I can hear the ringing of the microphone as it has nothing yet to hear. And lastly, I can hear the character breathing hard as she tries to calm down and memorize whatever's on the paper. "You can do this. You can do this. You've got it," She constantly repeats to herself. And once she truly does, she lets go of the paper, and steps out into the spotlights and center of attention, and begins to speak.
